Lady Hollyhock Summer

This elegant Japanese lady was designed in 1988. She was part of a quartet of Japanese ladies -- the other three are Lady Sakura Springtime (1986), Lady Chrysanthemum Autumn (1988), and Lady Plum Blossom Winter (1990). Each lady is done in a different color, has a different design in her kimono, and carries a different object. This quartet comprised one of Jean's most popular projects; lots of people took all four courses, just so they'd have the entire set of ladies.
