Free Patterns

NAN is pleased to present complimentary patterns for your use, either individually, or for a guild chapter meeting.  They are our gift to you.  Additional designs will be added periodically so check back to see what's new.

Each project has been designed by a different NAN certification graduate or NAN member. Since our membership includes some of the country's best known and widely respected teachers/judges/designers, the patterns offer a great opportunity to share their skills with others.

The small designs are suitable for finishing as an ornament, a pendant, or even a needlebook. They are stitched in a variety of contemporary threads, and employ some interesting stitches. Worked in a variety of techniques, you will find needlepoint, surface embroidery, cross stitch, and other counted thread techniques.  It's a great opportunity to try out something different.

Our latest addition is Kente, a project providing information on Kente cloth as well as giving the stitcher the opportunity to use this design.

The Heart series is a collection of four hearts executed utilizing different techniques.

Seasonal Trees is a set of eight small designs which include two trees for each season, one in canvas work and one in surface embroidery.

Gemstones are twelve small ornaments based on birthstones.
