Tara's Heart by Catherine B. McEnerney

My daughter Tara will be getting married in the fall of 2009 and I wanted her to have this antique lavalier which belonged to her great grandmother, and which I wore when I married her father. Plus Grand Cameo Heart Sampler by Gay Ann Rogers seemed the perfect means to pass this family heirloom on to her. I have worked the piece using Thread Gatherer’s silk and silk ribbon, Au Ver à Soie, Soie Perlée and Serica, twisting my own Perle 12 to maintain the colors throughout the piece and reducing the amount of color I used from that found in the original piece.
