Queen of Needles by Debbie Stiehler

I am submitting this canvas work piece for inclusion into the Hat Challenge. This crown is stitched on 18 count red canvas using metallic, rayon, cotton, ulstrasuede and faux fur threads. Stitches included are: Mirror image Herringbone, Florentine Embroidery, Turkey work, and beading. The top ball of the crown is a simple Temari ball pattern. The Herringbone strips of canvas are wired on the back so that it will be three dimensional. The crown is lined with purple satin fabric.
