Fragments by Sheila Ary

This piece developed from a challenge presented to a recent class with Jan Beany and Jean Littlejohn. I did not do all that was asked for in the challenge, which included the use of an embellishing machine, but I preferred my version, without the felting effect which the machine gives. Some of the fabrics and fibers came from not placing my fragments straight on the ground fabric. It gives a more “broken” effect, which increases the feel of “Fragments”.
