Eternal Grace by Peggy Lipski

“Eternal Grace” satisfied the Japanese Embroidery Center’s phase 6 requirements: the practice of laying flat and twisted silk foundations, short stitching holding and line of staggered diagonal techniques. There is an introduction to superimposed work on the kimono and obi. I completed this piece in class with Shay Pendray as instructor. I determined the selection of colors with guidance from Shay Pendray.

With this piece I chose to use vintage Obi fabric I had purchased online, using traditional Japanese Silk and Colorful Gold fibers.
