Blackwork Flower Sampler by Kathy Olex

I stitched this design for the opportunity to do a great variety of fill-in patterns.  While I love the traditional black on white, the idea of using color is appealing for certain designs.  When stitched with a color other than black, it is easier to see the different values of the fill-in patterns.  Using red thread can give shades ranging from burgandy to pink, depending on the pattern.
