Grateful for Green by Sheila Ary

I have always enjoyed the wonderfully varied shades of green that nature gives us each year in the spring. In making this piece I have tried to express my appreciation of this yearly gift.

I am pleased with the green velvet background. It has a life of its own which supports the green threads I have used, without overwhelming them. It is also very forgiving when items come and go in the course of creating the piece.

I found great pleasure in working on this piece, and I hope this shows now that the piece is finished.
