Whirlygig by Judy Kotick

Whirlygig was designed and taught by Jane Zimmerman. I was attracted to it because of its elegance. It was stitched on Zweigart #18 mono canvas using Soie d'Alger, various sizes of Japan Gold braids and ribbons and gold beads. The piece became more and more beautiful as I stitched the various squares with the silk and metal thread patterns. Jane's stitch guides were excellent making this a fun piece to stitch.
