Ocean Waves by Victoria Nessel

Judy Souliotis taught this class at Callaway I believe in January 2001, which I took with my best friend Diane, who has since succumbed to breast cancer. My then significant other and I became engaged Valentine's Day that year, bought a new home, and moved in March 2001. I lost track of the piece for several years and thought it was lost, then found it in late 2005. It ulitmately was completed at Callaway 2006 and framed a month or two later. I has since won ribbons at both ANG Seminar and Callaway.

I have chosen to change nothing about the piece, neither stitches, nor thread or colors. I love her designs as is and, unlike most class designs I have taken from other teachers, have never felt the need to change her designs in any way. Her color sense is usually very orientally influenced, which I find visually fulfilling.
