Stars for a New Millenium by Maryann Jeurgensen

This challenging design uses color, thread and stitch varieties to complete 12 quilt block patterns.

While I followed the stitch guide I made many changes to color and thread. The use I plan for the piece calls for rust, blues and greens. I changed the colors accordingly using the artist’s suggestions for values in specific areas. Selecting the threads was fun. I used some of the indicated threads but changed many dictated by my personal preferences and by what was available.

I found this to be an addictive design and given its size and complexity, I was disappointed it finished so quickly.
