Pomegranates, Snail and Goldbug by Audrey Melton

Pomegranates, Snail and Goldbug is a stumpwork piece designed and taught by Jane Nicholas. Worked on ivory satin, this design features a pomegranate tree, with flowers, leaves and raised fruit in various stages of ripeness. A padded snail is found at the base of the tree and a gold beetle amidst the foliage. Other materials include muslin, felt, organza, bronze snakeskin, metal threads, silk, cotton and rayon threads and beads. This was a delightful class with Jane in Louisville, KY.
