Pieces of Africa-The Congo by Maryann Jeurgensen

The Congo shows the vivid colors worn by natives in this part of Africa. For the most part I used the thread and colors suggested.

The stitches used range from simple to complex. Small bits of glitter shine throughout. A particular challenge was the herringbone variation which requires the use of 10 different threads at the same time. I muttered a lot during this process but I am very happy with the completed look!
