Hexagonal Pulled Thread Box by Rachel Watkins

This box is a sampler of pulled thread work. The six panels that make up the sides were stitched on one piece of linen. The top is made up of three diamond shapes joined together.

The whole box was stitched in Pearl Cotton on ivory linen. Ultra-suede cord and a wooden button were used for trim: dark ivory satin was used for lining and backing.

This sampler box holds stitching items as well as being a stitch reference guide.
