Chir-Chir-Chirimen by Jennifer Riefenberg

The inspiration for this piece came from the extraordinary designer and teacher, Caela! Her exquisite piece just grabbed my fancy, and I leapt at the chance to take the class. Many, many, many hours later, I had the beautiful, finished piece of my own.

The piece is worked on painted congress cloth using silk and metal threads, with glass bead accents. I am still amazed at Caela’s ability to create the stitch patterns used on this piece – where does she come up with that!
