The Joy of Summer by Jacqui Clarkson

This began as a class that I took or better yet, attempted to take, while in Atlanta, Georgia at the ANG seminar. I was very excited to take the class but had also volunteered to help Barbara Jackson do the boutique.

I missed more of the class than participated and came home with my canvas painted and marked with gold-leaf and other stuff and the beginning of the large butterfly; but that was all. It was tucked away for quite a long time.

Currently my husband is chatting about retirement and the dreaded word "down-sizing"! It has spurred an intent to get many of my UFOs done.

I found the canvas, the threads and the photo but was unable to unearth the instructions. Since this was a class to have us express ourselves….that is what I have done. Using Marnie’s photo as my instructions, I have completed the canvas. Since I can’t remember the name she gave her piece I am calling it "The Joy of Summer" as I love to garden and have many butterflies that come to be part of it every year.
