Wine Country Santa by Judith Ann DiCarlo

Wine Country Santa was a design taught in my ANG Chapter. It was fun project to do because it was for my daughter, who works in the wine industry. The piece had a stitch guide, but I changed some of the stitches and fibers to ones that I thought would look better.

It is a needlepoint canvas and the fibers used were floss, Perle cotton, Rainbow Tweed, Neon Rays, Faux Fur, Wildflowers, Watercolours, Charleston, Overdye floss, Silken Ribbons, Ribbon Floss, Kreinik Braid and Mill Hill Beads.

The Needlepoint Stitches were Backstitch, Basketweave, Criss-Cross Hungarian, Cross Stitch, Diagonal Mosaic, Dotted Swiss, French Knots, Gobelin, Greek Stitch, Long and Short Stitch, Long Vertical Stitch, Monks Cord, Mosaic, Outline, Parisian, Random Stitch, Roman Stitch, Satin Stitch, Turkey Work, Van Dyke Stitch and Vertical Stitch.
