The Lake by Dorothy L. Johnson

This piece was inspired by Peg Laflam last year.  It began as a class piece and developed into my version of some basic pieces.  The elements are fabric, paper, and machine embroidery.   The choices I made to make this more of an original piece were:  fabrics, threads, stitch treatment, color scheme, where paper accents would be used -- making a sunrise light reflection over the water.  Using a hanger and treating this as an art/collage hanging was my interpretation of the work.
