Bottles by Toni Gerdes

I followed most of David McCaskill’s Stitch Guide and my teacher’s (Sue Dulle – Two the Point Needlepoint Shop) recommendations. However, I did make one major change: I decided I wanted the table my bottles were sitting on to show. I added the brown darning stitch at the bottom to show a "wood grained" table. Also, I appliquéd the lace edging to the center doily for effect. I love this piece and the color overlaps it demonstrates.

The piece is done on white18-count canvas with many variations of Straight & Diagonal Stitches, Darning Stitches, Tassels and Lace Appliqué.

DMC Pearl #8, Kreinik #12 Braid, DMC Floss and Access Commodities’ Accentuate were the threads used.
