Fairy tales from childhood have always been an influence in my artistic development. The piece, "Where Fairies Play", sets forth adult impressions. The naturalistic flowing shapes which, while not realistic, invoke the feeling of nature in its most magnificent manifestations. It shows its coexistence and its representation in needlework. My pattern of artistic development has been the constant return to problems of perception and representation and to continual evaluation of my work made necessary by the passage of time. I want to go beyond my technical virtuosity as evidenced by Master Craftsman Awards to artistic interpretation and the struggle with its constraints.
