christmshsev_3.jpg (17755 bytes)Christmas House by Sondra Gregory of Prairie Village, Kansas

This piece began as an outline on canvas in a class directed by Jody Adams. We were encouraged to make changes on our own. I designed a larger tree to the left of the house and a bare-leafed tree to the right and placed a garland of green on top of the porch rail. I added a sidewalk significantly changed the shape of the snow and omitted the snowman from the front yard.

Threads used include cotton floss, over-dyed floss, Japanese silk, Rachel, Medici wool and French wool over dyed.
