Blue Opalescence Squared by Sondra Gregory of Prairie Village, Kansas

This was a 4-day class by Mary Ellen Searcy. We could elect to finish the piece as 4 squares all together as in the original or split them as a pair of twos or four singles. I elected the pair of two squares together.

Threads used were three silks by Au Ver à Soie -- Soie D Àlger, Soie Perlée, and Soie Gobelin; gold & silver cords and metallics.

Some of the 3-dimensional techniques include wrapped corded bars, wrapped cord and fishing line, application of gold leaf and appliqué of kid.
