BranchesSome sample branches are shown by gray lines on the line drawing. You may want to sketch some branches to get you started. If you do this, use a purple ink AIR-DISAPPEARING pen. The branches overlap each other and are randomly placed. See the photo for ideas. Stitch the branches with Split Backstitches. Use 2 strands of Overdyed Floss #142.

The horizontal line that indicates the ground is also worked in Split Backstitch. You may use the same Overdyed Floss or a contracting green embroidery floss from your stash.
Use 2 strands of embroidery floss that matches your fabric to outline the edge of the ornament in Outline or Stem Stitch.
See the finishing instructions to complete the ornament.
