The National Academy of Needlearts is an organization devoted to the advancement of embroidery as an art form. Its goal is to uphold the highest standards in the needlearts by providing excellence in education to all those interested in furthering their embroidery skills as teachers, judges, artists, designers, authors, and technically proficient embroiderers. NAN was established in 1985. NAN provides numerous educational opportunities for enhancing one's pursuits in the needlearts. Please continue reading to explore these opportunities. The Academy maintains its outstanding archival collection of embroidery and honors research at the Gregg Museum of Art and Design at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. |
